Welcome to the 2017 MLA Annual Conference! This year’s theme is Radical Librarianship - the power of libraries to provide access to the truth, strengthen our community voices, create opportunity for exploration and innovation, and assist our patrons to build a better future. Libraries have always been radical, but what does Radical Librarianship mean for us today? Join us at the 2017 MLA Annual Conference to help shape that conversation!

Want to self-publish a book or create an open textbook? Minnesota libraries are here to help! Learn about MN Writes MN Reads and the Minnesota Libraries Publishing Project, which provide suites of services that allow you to turn your manuscripts into ebook formats and share them with readers across the state and potentially across the country. The core of these services are Pressbooks, an easy-to-use online book production tool, and SELF-e, a sharing and discovery platform for ebooks. Minitex, MELSA, and a group of academic libraries are collaborating to support these exciting community-building initiatives.
